The Academy is committed to teaching as a means of encouraging and stimulating the best possible progress and achievement for all of the students. The development of positive attitudes towards learning and towards positive interactions with other people is an integral part of that commitment.

The Academy seeks to equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills to enable them to think creatively and critically, solve problems and develop aesthetic and physical abilities. The curriculum for 1st through 8th grade follows the Core Knowledge curriculum for its foundation subjects of English, mathematics, science, social studies, art and music and supplements with additional subjects under the guidance of the international education coordinator. In addition, The Academy is the only school in the U.S. to be accredited for the Cambridge International Primary Program—which sets standards in English, math and science for 1st through 8th Grades.

Field trips are taken to enhance and reinforce subjects learned.

Dedicated and specialized teachers provide a secure, happy and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to learn and have the satisfaction of realizing their full potential.  Very small classes ensure that each student receives close supervision and the necessary individual attention.
